ESSENTIAL OILS & EXTRACTS

Biolive Innovation is currently developing innovative products based on essential oils and natural extracts used as an additive to animal feed and as a repellent for non-consumer animals. The implementation of this investment is aimed at meeting the expectations and needs of customers in the development and introduction of co-production of two groups of products: i.e. an additive to feed for snails and dogs, with antiparasitic, repellent, antibacterial, appetite-stimulating properties (snails, dogs). The repellents developed by our company will be used as litter for pigeons, rodents, repellent for use on lawns, crops and ornamental plants (spider mites, aphids). As a result of the project, 100% natural products will be created, harmless (non-withdrawal animals), not causing drug resistance. In recent decades, animal production and animal breeding have seen a shift away from herbal preparations towards single-component products that are a product of chemical synthesis. Feed additives developed in this way allowed for avoiding problems that plague animal production, but very quickly led to the development of organisms that were resistant or poorly tolerant to their use. This resulted in the need to use increasingly higher doses of preparations or to limit them completely, which led to losses in animal production or the development of undesirable traits in animals. In the case of non-consumer animals, it is particularly important to maintain full control over the breeding process due to the fact that most of the traits desired by breeders are developed in the process of proper breeding. The project aims to offer a fully natural product that replaces synthetic chemical products. Our goal is to develop the best procedures for obtaining and recipes for herbal (natural) preparations used in the breeding of non-consumer animals as a repellent or feed additive. These products will increase the welfare of farm animals while limiting the use of chemical preparations that are often toxic to humans and not neutral to the environment. Due to the diversity of herbal raw materials, a range of preparations is planned to be introduced to the market, which will allow for achieving maximum efficiency in breeding by limiting the development of undesirable microflora or improving the digestive process in non-consumer animals. This will translate into increased profit generated by breeding, reduced treatment of animals and the use of chemical preparations, which may lead to the development of resistant strains of microorganisms with potential pathogenicity to humans.
