Proteopeptide M23 is a preparation of natural origin, created as a result of enzymatic hydrolysis of egg yolk proteins. Thanks to the use of a multi-stage hydrolysis process, long protein chains were broken down into peptides with a mass below 5 kDa, which are very easily absorbed by the human body. During the production process, the product was defatted and purified from unnecessary ingredients (e.g. dyes), it does not contain artificial additives, and thanks to its natural origin, all of its ingredients can be fully utilized by the human body. The M23 preparation has excellent antioxidant properties. The antioxidant potential of 1 gram of our product corresponds to the antioxidant potential of approx. 85 mg of vitamin E. However, it should be emphasized that an excess of vitamins E and C, which are known as good antioxidants, can cause negative side effects, while taking proteopeptide M23 even in large doses does not adversely affect the human body. Comparing the antioxidant properties of proteopeptide to fruits and vegetables, which are the main source of antioxidant compounds in the diet, 1 g of our product is 30 times better than 1 g of currants, 40 times better than 1 g of spinach and almost 100 times better than 1 g of apples. The high antioxidant potential of our product not only results in a significant slowdown of the aging process of cells, but also reduces the risk of civilization diseases such as obesity, diabetes or hypertension. A major advantage of the M23 preparation is the fact that the product is a mixture of peptides. Each of the ingredients present in the mixture is characterized by a different spectrum of action, and the mixture has a synergistic positive effect on the human body. In the final product, peptides with proven effects were identified, including: anti-inflammatory, lowering blood pressure, anticancer, antiviral, antibacterial. In addition, the inhibitory effect of proteopeptide on the growth of bacteria found in food, including the genus Bacillus, Serratia and Brevundimonas, was demonstrated. The antibacterial and antifungal effects of the obtained product allow its use not only as a dietary supplement strengthening the immune system, but also create the prospect of potential use as a natural preservative for food or cosmetics. The ease of application is ensured by the form of a dry powder, which is why the product can be used both as a bioactive ingredient in capsules supplementing the diet, as well as in other products of different consistency. The M23 peptide preparation is an excellent source of all natural protein amino acids, including exogenous ones, which the body cannot synthesize on its own, necessary for proper functioning. Their proportions are similarly optimal for the human body, which is confirmed by the World Health Organization (WHO) recognizing the egg as a full-value reference protein.
